Spirit of Christmas

It's been 2 years since I haven't celebrated Christmas in my hometown together with my family.

First, when Typhoon Yolanda devastated Tacloban City and second, last December 20 my kababayan told me that Cebu Pacific cancelled all flights last December 19. They could have text or e-mailed me that they're gonna cancel the flight so that I should be aware of it because I still have exams that time and I don't have the time to go rush over to the airlines at the middle of the night. Imagine that.
So, I went there Sunday morning after church (December 20) to confirmed the cancelled flight. Then, I told them that can I rescheduled it to December 23 nalang? but unfortunately they explained to me that they don't have any flights from December 22-25, its all closed. And will resume to December 26 connecting flight and December 27 back to direct flight. So, I don't have choice but to cancelled my flight. Its pretty crazy.

Gladly, I have a good friend  who adopted me from December 22-26 to join them on Holidays together with her mom. I'm so devastated  because Christmas is the most awaited event year of my life because we're having party, exchanging gifts and giving warm hugs and love on Christmas day together with my whole family but this last 2 years it changes my perspective of Christmas time because days goes on I'm already having fun together with Nicole, we did so much activities like dolling each other, going to mall, endless conversations every night, photo shoot, watched movies and ate a lot.

I never regret the decision I made because I had so much fun together with their company.
Also, I learned how to mingle with other people, do their daily tasks, accept the fact that God has the purpose for everything and appreciate everyone's effort.

To all my readers, You are blessed enough to celebrate Christmas time together with your family. So, enjoy every moment and treasure every memories you had together with them. But for those who didn't had the chance to celebrate Christmas time with their family, just like me, we are blessed too because as what I've learned, whether we're together with our family or not, even without gifts and no parties, I still believe that,
"The true spirit of Christmas is always in our Hearts and being thankful of everything"
 Never forget that!
